Telluride has earned his UKC CHAMPIONSHIP in just his first show weekend! He is highly intelligent, willing and a bit goofy and fun hearted too. We have taken a small break from showing so that I could get his sister's first Title as well. He has just been tested for hips(L-0,32 R-0.35), elbows(good), heart(good), dentition(full),Eyes(normal) and Thyroid health(normal), as well as his already cleared Genetics and is diversity test through BetterBred. Osa Has been a great show girl and has earned her Championship quickly. She has now begun working towards her Grand Championship, and training for her obedience Titles. We have completed her testing, and all has come back well, and prayerfully will be bred to a well thought out Stud in the winter of 2025. She is a beautiful example of a Standard Poodle and has a very happy fun personality that is loyal to the core. She resides and is owned by my daughter and Son in law in Colorado, So I get to see her daily. He has now shown in two shows, picked up 90 points and two competition wins needed towards his Championship ( 100 pts and 3 comp wins needed for champion) In conformation, he adds a wonderful angulation in the rear, nice shelf, high tight feet, a really nice top line and shorter loin. Everything we have been looking to improve on our line. We could not be more pleased. He also is very healthy, and adds a little more in the sporty category. Still, he has a wonderful fast off switch, and is very mellow inside. He LOVES a challenge and loves to learn, and be handled. He loves to GO everywhere with us and rides in the car like a champ. We can't wait for you all to meet him, and to see what he and Rose produce for Pups. When having Finn genetically tested, we were disappointed to find that he is a carrier of DM, which is only a problem if he is paired with another DM carrier. We have decided that we may still use him to continue the beautiful silver lines we have between Breezy and Parker. If we decide to use him for stud in the future, every puppy produced from their litters, will be genetically tested before going to homes and any puppies who carry the dm gene will be spayed or neutered before their first heat(for males by 6 months). No breeding rights will be given on DM positive puppies for safety's sake.

Particularly DOGS! I love them, everything about them. My parents started out their marriage early years showing Dobermans. Over the years we have had many different breeds, and had many years of learning what training methods work best with what dogs. As an adult it just seemed natural for me to start an obedience training business. I did that (training) for many years, and even included classes with the rec district of Montrose county. After my kids started school, we decided I needed to home school my kids, and I ended my dog training business. My kids are grown now, and so I am back to my love of dogs. I specifically loved the Standard Poodle's Intelligence, and wanted to try a breeding program that focused on personality and health traits, as well as beauty. I believed I could achieve a better Standard poodle based on those qualities, AND have beauty too. And so, High Mesa Standards was born. I know you are going to love our puppies as much as we do.
