Where is Pierce in his career? Pierce has run one round of Fast Cat before we got him, and now he is Showing in UKC. Pierce has earned his UKC championship and will be competing for his Grand in the upcoming months. He has come so far in such a little amount of time and we are so proud of him. We plan to start Fast Cat Here in a new Venue in Grand Junction Colorado soon. I can't wait to see him in a sport. We will update often. He adds so much flavor to our bunch. He came to us without many manners, but in such a short time, he has picked up everything we have taught him AND we brought him to his first show ever, where he performed amazingly, and was so willing to do anything I asked of him. He has now in three shows picked up his UKC Championship ( 100 pts and 3 comp wins needed for champion) In conformation, he adds a wonderful angulation in the rear, nice shelf, high tight feet, a really nice top line and shorter loin. Everything we have been looking to improve on our line. We could not be more pleased. He also is very healthy, and adds a little more in the sporty category. Still, he has a wonderful fast off switch, and is very mellow inside the house. He LOVES a challenge and loves to learn, and be handled. He loves to GO everywhere with us and rides in the car like a champ. We can't wait for you all to meet him, and to see what he and Rose produce for Pups. I'm assuming she has a large litter in there! Rose is still not showing much yet, so we don't know with her. She is also very clingy too though, and isn't eating well, which has been the challenge to keep puppy birth weights up with Rose, so regardless, we are upping their nutrition, and will report back when we know more! We had enough interest in a litter from Pagosa, and have found a great match for her, that we have now decided to add her to the upcoming litters list. Introducing Cedar Cove's My Profound Love (aka Mylo) We do have a list started, and many of those who were interested, have not yet added their names to this list, so if you are wanting to get on the list you should do so now! The Stud we chose for Pagosa had mostly to do with health and diversity. Since our females are considered more "inbred", we have been fervently looking for OUTLIERS. We have found A great male for Pagosa, that not only compliments her DNA, but has many of the things that we are looking for to improve her body. RETIRED Right now Breezy is a UKC CHAMPION, and needs only one more Champion win to earn her GRAND Championship. We decided to retire her and have her spayed. She loves to show, and only pauses when we are having puppies(and for Covid). She has had her 4th and last litter of puppies. She will live out the remainder of her life here at the farm as she is my heart doggie. She has produced Black Parti, Blue Parti, Silver Parti, Cream Sables, and Silver Sables. Her puppies most likely carry Phantom, Sable and Brindle and some have carried Brown. She has produced two puppies who have gone on to achieve their UKC CHAMPIONSHIPS and One go on the her GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP as well, and those three have earned their Trick novice titles. Particularly DOGS! I love them, everything about them. My parents started out their marriage early years showing Dobermans. Over the years we have had many different breeds, and had many years of learning what training methods work best with what dogs. As an adult it just seemed natural for me to start an obedience training business. I did that (training) for many years, and even included classes with the rec district of Montrose county. After my kids started school, we decided I needed to home school my kids, and I ended my dog training business. My kids are grown now, and so I am back to my love of dogs. I specifically loved the Standard Poodle's Intelligence, and wanted to try a breeding program that focused on personality and health traits, as well as beauty. I believed I could achieve a better Standard poodle based on those qualities, AND have beauty too. And so, High Mesa Standards was born. I know you are going to love our puppies as much as we do.
