Standard Poodle Breeder, Quality Standard Poodles, Standard Poodle Puppies on the Western Slope of Colorado THE STORY OF HIGH MESA STANDARDS How We Got Started From the time I was a young girl, I have always loved animals. Particularly DOGS! I love them, everything about them. My parents started out their marriage early years showing Dobermans. Over the years we have had many different breeds, and had many years of learning what training methods work best with what dogs. As an adult it just seemed natural for me to start an obedience training business. I did that (training) for many years, and even included classes with the rec district of Montrose county. After my kids started school, we decided I needed to home school my kids, and I ended my dog training business. My kids are grown now, and so I am back to my love of dogs. I specifically loved the Standard Poodle's Intelligence, and wanted to try a breeding program that focused on personality and health traits, as well as beauty. I believed I could achieve a better Standard poodle based on those qualities, AND have beauty too. And so, High Mesa Standards was born. I know you are going to love our puppies as much as we do. Science is always changing and challenging what we think we know about the Canine world. I want to make sure I am keeping up with the science. Also, there are always new things I can learn that I have never heard before. On this page, I list a few of my classes, and companies that I find enrich my knowledge. petsummits.com has a TON of great resources for ongoing education if you are so inclined. I really enjoy theses seminars, and learn a bunch!

Standard Poodle Breeder, Quality Standard Poodles, Standard Poodle Puppies on the Western Slope of Colorado NURSERY NEWS Puppies New Yard UPDATE:We are extremely sad and crushed to report that little Carson the orange collar boy is not with us any more. He was declining daily and was to the point where he didn't even want to eat anymore. He was my little sweetie, and I am going to miss and mourn him for a long time. Please pray for me, I am having such a difficult time. Thank you all. PUPPIES ARE HERE! Head on over to the Puppy Report Cards page and meet each one, Scroll down a ways until the puppies start. Because of this litter being so limited on choices, we may decide to have a littler with Pagosa on her next heat, which would mean puppies would be ready to go to homes around Dec.25 2026. It will depend on how many we have on the list for that litter, so if you are interested in a puppy or were unable to receive a puppy on this litter, or we didbn't have a puppy that fit you, head on over to the "Wait List"page and ask me to add your name . setting up the nursery Ohanzee was a boy that I have had my eye on for a while, and after careful consideration, and discussions with Meagan (Owner Of OMG Poodles and Ohanzee) decided he would be the best choice for Rose's final litter. I can't believe I'm even saying that. Rose has given us so many beautiful Puppies, I will be very sad at this last one, BUT really excited to possibly keep one of these girls. Ohanzee is not Titled in Conformation due to an accident that took him away from the show ring, but he has his CGC, Trick Novice, and Fetch Novice titles, and many Champion and Grand Champions out of his Puppies. He also has some service workers out of his puppies. Ohanzee is an active, happy guy with a desire to play and be involved with people. He loves the ball, and will retrieve all day. I will make him his own page with links you can follow to his information. follow that page HERE Rose's Pedigree Rose's testing Call Us wait list Take a look at the Nursery Apply Now Next
